There had been ongoing procrastination from my end when it was all concerned about cleaning the "HOUSE" and to create a "HOME"!
It is quintessential for the married people especially girls...sorry...WOMEN...to keep their HOME beautiful. I have also dreamt of having a beautiful home for myself and ornament it as I wanted. I did get one, but I was not able to beautify it. I love doing it, but definitely not alone…
S & I were living our life as archetype backpackers and we never stayed during the weekends at the so-called-HOME since the time I joined him.
It’s a beautiful house and I should definitely appreciate the bachelors (none other but my hubby, and his friends) who were living here; they were able to maintain it amazingly well. Since my entry, there were lotsa hand baggages, covers lying everywhere. And we also started building on the mess when we purchased house needs. Infact, we started calling one of our rooms as “Garbage room"...
The balcony or the sit out is called as Winter Garden here, but it stores unused cartons, covers, bags, cricket bats, balls, et cetera. I was not to be blamed here :)
I managed to clean the kitchen and one of the bedroom for the very reasons of survival; other rooms untouched. One fine day, we got calls from our cousins and friends who were supposed to visit us soon.
"OMG!!! Wat will he/she thinks about me/us if he/she enters the house???”, the first question alarmed me. The weekend came, and I can’t say it was well spent, but it was not wasted, because we were forced to clean up the house :)
With S's enuf motivation and my self-motivation, we pampered ourselves much more than required, and started to clean up the winter garden and the rest of the zimmers. We cleared the cartons, cleaned the house thoroughly, and kept everything in the right place (remembering “a place for everything and everything in its place”).
Finally it's done - "HOME CHWEET HOME"
And the day came when our cousins visited us. After entering our house, one of the cousins commented, “Hey, your house looks like a HOME now!! It's beautiful n much better than how it used to be when u bachelors were living here"
S and I exchanged a smile. The appreciation still loiters in our heart.
A nano second of fame for the 24/7 hard work!
Huh! Got tired.
The result of 7 late dinners’ n sleepless nights!!

I just hate cleaning my house. My house owner always criticizes me for not cleaning it. I think, like modern art, people should start looking at an un-clean house as some kind of crumpled art form! :P
