The Big Bang

With the Big Bang Experiment, what's more thrilling than the experiment is the hype surrounding it.  It triggered a number of wild controversies that it will create a black hole on earth, and such the entire earth, and the earth would destroy soon - Sounds sci-fi or scarry??

Ofcourse, it did scare many people throughout the world. An uneducated girl from a small unknown village committed suicide after hearing that the world is going to end.  Why do these crazy jobless scientists do silly stupid things, waste their time and make people lead a unsecured life. WTF!! Arr're, life is already a risk in this unpeaceful earth.  Then why carrying out such silly experiments ...afterall why do they need to know how the universe was born.

Interestingly, while talking with one of my friend, I understood that he cancelled his planned trip to Switzerland after hearing this news.  Another cousin came to Zurich on a vacation with his wife and kid.  His kith and kins started questioning as to why this vacation to Swiss when there are such problems.  They feared about losing them.  If only the world has to end, what does it matter if we are in Geneva or India or in any part of the world. I am confused with the logic here!

To contradict my earlier arguements, I also feel that every experiment has its own pros and cons and if we sit back for the fear of "something", then we are not going to venture into new horizons. If only Einstein and other great scientists thought on the same lines of safety, then we would still be living on the stone age :)

Anyways, all I can do now is to pray GOD and hope that something fruitful comes out of this experiment , and that nothing stupid happens to people on earth (and to earth itself!)
