10 on Tuesday - 10 favorite career

It's been long long ago since I wrote 10 on tuesday topics. Today is my 10th post of ToT, what better reason to write on this..Decided to write one but was pondering over a good topic when I saw an add popping out of my laptop asking me if I want to change my career.  Viola...thought about my dreams and aspirations. I am very greedy when it comes to choices.  I don't have just one dream career, but countless of them.  What I've done here is attempted to list down top 10 of my dream career(not in any order though).

Reporter  / Writer
I like writing.  I don't know if I want to become a published writer.  I can spin stories while talking, but to write them and keep the readers gripped is something beyond my capabilities till date.  Few years back I read a travel book of an author along with the pictures photographed by him.  Bangg!  What better than this combination.  So is the dream to be a reporter to a media company.  Not just report about jutkas and matkas, and how Mallika Sherawat has a sexy look or how Sheila ki Jawani was a hit.  But a report on socialism or about adventurous things like how is it to be a bungee jumper, or how women in afghan feel about themselves, what are their dreams, or anything that would bring things into limelight of public and drive government to make life changing decisions.  You know what I mean?

Photographer
Obviously one of my passion, I love to take up a full time photographer post.  How many of them have hobby as their work?  One should be lucky if they have it that way, isn't it?  So far I haven't gone beyond a landscape or portraits.  I want to venture into wildlife photography and get rugged with my camera as a woman in action!

Musician
There's this little gene inherited from my maternal family that I really boast off till today.  Except my mom, every one else in her family know to sing (some learnt it while others acquired it while on mother's womb - they get it so naturally) or play any instruments.  Don't know if for that reason, my mother wanted me to learn them.  My gurus have been my aunts and it was never a difficult journey with them around.  I have dreamt of having a career as a veena musician and make katcheris during Margazhi month (during december), or go for Thiruvaiyaru's Thiyagaraja Aradhana music fest (happens during January).

Kathak or Bharatanatyam dancer
I know miniscule of Bharatanatyam (a classical dance form of Tamilnadu), which till date I regret to not have learn't properly during my young age.  I love the expressions and bhavams and their dance movements in general.  Watching the hand, body, eye and facial expressions in bharatanatyam is something I could just do for hours.  Kathak just makes me wonder for their elegant foot taps and angelic hand movements and looks! Ah..and love their costume!

Bar tender / waitress in a posh restaurant
Don't give me that outlandish look here! Yes...everytime I visit a nice restaurant, I adore the way a waitress work and serve the food.  And have you seen woman behind the bar counters..the way they hold the glass, take the drinks from the bottle, and serve it. They look so classic.. it's an art by itself.

Manual quality testing engineer in a chocolate factory
A chocolate fan that I am, would love to leave anything for this job.  How nice it should be if there's a role of licking every chocolate produce and check if they are of correct taste.. particularly working in Lindt or Cadbury factory.  Can't drool more.

Tourist guide / TV host for travel shows
I was a fan of Deepti Batnagar's Yatra and Musafir hoon yaroon.  The travel bug had bit me then, I guess.  I love the way she delivers the tour, the information about those places..and the beautiful salwar/saree/western suits she used to wear then.  How lucky to have paid a job to travel around the world!  I also attempted to develop my own footage videos of the places I visited which were shot by lovely S.

Radio Jockey
If you don't know by now, know them now!  I am better known as a non-stop talkative person.  Yes and I don't regret. Because I love talking. Many people have suggested me to be a RJ.  My college director while doing an assessment on my personality-jobfit mockingly recommended me to take up RJ role and commented that there's a 200% guarantee that I will outshine anyone in that industry!

1 day prime minister

Wish I take the authority in my hands and set some things straight in my own way. I would implement simple things like no footboarding on bus, a cycle lane for children to drive to school, restricting the no.of cars a family can buy,  making corporate social responsibility a mandatory for everyone and imply tax for this from corporates. I can keep adding on!

Educator / Nursery teacher
Teaching / training people is a lovely job.  There's nothing more than sharing your knowledge with someone.  And I have always loved this job and will love to do such job.  What better than to start with teaching the children.  I have done that and it does require so much of patience..seriously!

The list doesn't end here...When I saw Rage of Angels TV series, I wished to be a lawyer endlessly arguing with the opponent,  when I saw criminal stories, I wanted to work in a forensic department. You must be wondering that why on earth do I dream too much! I knew some of them are just not possible at all, but still, it's nice to have such dreams and desires...That makes our life going!
