Tezz - My fast thoughts!

Saw Priyadarshan's TEZZ movie yesterday and I thought that might make a nice post to write about this! So here it is....

When the country ruthlessly deports you(an illegal immigrant) back to your own country for working without proper permits, making you seperate from a pregnant wife - How do you show off your anger? You come back after 4 years to revenge the country and the officials by placing a bomb on the train!

Ajay Devgn, plays the role of that antagonist who threatens the UK officials, which apprarently, if you don't know is run by Indians! He is aided by two other illeagal immigrants Megha (Sameera Reddy) and Aadil Khan (Zayed Khan).  He threatens them that he placed a bomb on a London-Glasgow train and it will go off the moment the speed of the train reduces to 60 kms! He also demands for about 10 million euros.

Howz that all UK jobs are taken by Indians!  And you don't know - London is a city run by Indians.  Ok..The head railway traffic controller(Boman Irani), is very shrewd and has the ability to identify the nationality of the person through telephone! Apparently Aakash Rana (Ajay Devgn) while talking his demands over the phone, accidently abuses a local guy by saying "theri maa ki"... And that's the cue! Boman finds out that he is definitely Indian! Wha ..kya baat hai!
Adding some melodrama to this, Boman's daughter also travels in the same train.

Ajay Devgn's motive which comes to limelight through a series of flash backs where he seperates his wife (Kangna Raunat), a british domicile.  She sure is, for she sports blonde hair and a much-annoying accent. But she flaunts through nice haute couture from London shopping - all in one song! But why doesn't she catch the next flight and join Ajay in India rather than sitting and pining for her husband in London is a big unanswered question. Thankfully, Priyadarshan has spared us by giving less dialogues for her!

Ok..Now back to the story. To tackle this situation, stop the casualities, find the bomber and save the passengers, London police asks the comeback of the just-retired-counter terrorism commander - Anil Kapoor.
If none of this sounds funny to you, Anil Kapoor's accent does!

Although the main 2 characters - Ajay and Anil are no way in the train or around,  they run and chase around some good locations in England.  While the London Police(Mohanlal) is travelling in the same train tries some pathetic English dialogues and has a miniscule role.

And to add some jatka to the movie, there's a skimmy item song by Mallika sherawat which did not fit into the script of the movie at all! What happens at the end is something I'll leave for the readers to find out.

Another failed attempt of Priyadarshan who has taken bits from the famous Speed and Bullet Train, added some top actors and bollywood content to make this movie tezz!

Now that I've already harassed the movie so much,I should accept that there are some sequences which keeps you totally gripping. For instance, the bike chase scenes of Sameera Reddy is brilliantly executed. So is the run-chase of Zayed Khan. Totally fast paced!

My Verdict: 2/5
It's definitely not edge-of-the-seat thriller movie, but can be classified as a one time watch(if you have the capability to accept those flaws).  Or put it this way, if Priyadarshan makes 100 flaws in all his movies, he made only 90 flaws in Tezz! And the movie lives up to the title!

  1. This sounds very very average. Have you seen Ajay Devgun's 'Gangaa Jal'. That was very very good.

Review is very good and to the point. Carry one.
