Awful blog break!

It’s a nightmare to sit in front of computer, wanting to write and not being able to write!

"To write about writer's block, you should experience it" I heard someone saying.

To me, a writer’s block is a syndrome of wanting / urging to write, but getting struck when it comes to articulate your mind and put them in form of words.

I logged into my blog almost every other day, read others' blog, left comments, opened a new post, stared at it (literally! yes), and closed it without writing anything. regrettably, this has been my modus operandi for last 2-3 weeks.

Searching for words was like searching air in a vacuum or looking for a particular drop of water in the ocean...any such comparisons!  I felt completely blank as to what to write, how to write.  F***ing block!

Normal scenarios and reasons for someone's writing block could be:-

1. Laziness to write
2. No clue of what to write
3. Afraid of writing bad
4. Fear of criticisms
5. Lack of concentration
6. Stress
7. Change in priority

I thought the last 3 points were more suited for my "not-able-to-write-syndrome"

All those who have been hit with this tornado will fight and come back. How and when is the question?  And every time one finds a way out of this maze, there is a new strategy that gets evolved.

I tried to concentrate, thought about a beautiful landscape, listened to my favourite song, spoke with the one's I loved, but still I could not come out.  And I did not want to prolong further.  Hence I thought of writing about writing and writer's block. And as I started to write, words started flowing like a river.  Ah! I feel glad now!

And now, I believe that every writer will go through this phase, and should go through.  It's like taking a vacation from your busy schedule or enjoying a short nap after completing mundane tasks. It's so refreshing – physically and mentally!

  6. hmmm as UmaS mentioned above, this is what i do , post a picture.. the wordless wednesdays and Thrusdays challenge are a real bonus cause at least if you are not able to write you can do these two and have two posts in a week ..

The points you given are right but i wud not bother about criticism, that is good, cause you know what not tdo and it helps in becoming a better person..

and change of priority is OH YESS..

Take care now and keep writing :)
